BUILT FOR / RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL SPARKIES

Custom software for Australian electricians.

Built for the bits Tradify, ServiceM8 and simPRO don't quite cover. State-specific compliance forms. Quoting that pulls from your real pricelist. Job packets that include the photos and get to the customer before the ute leaves the driveway.

01 / WHO THIS IS FOR

Electrical businesses with one workflow eating the week.

Most electrical businesses I build for are doing $500K to $3M a year, running three to fifteen on the tools, and already paying for one of the trade SaaS products.

They like most of it. The pain is the wall of spreadsheets, Word templates, group chats and PDF editors patching the parts it doesn't do: the compliance forms, the quoting that doesn't fit, the customer comms that get forgotten on busy days. That is where the custom build sits.

02 / EXAMPLES

What I would build.

Three examples of the kind of tool I would build for an electrical business. Yours will be specific to your business and state regulator. These show the shape.

Certificates & test sheets

A tool that fills out your state's Certificate of Compliance and test result forms from job data you already have. Installer licence, address, test readings, signed PDF generated on the truck. Mapped to QLD ESO, NSW Fair Trading, VIC ESV CoES, or whichever regime applies.

Quoting for sparky work

A quoting tool built around your standard inclusions: lights and points, switchboard upgrades, EV charger installs, solar interconnections. Pulls from your real pricelist and trade rates. Formats it the way you already quote. Ready to send.

Automations & AI

Job-done customer SMS with before-and-after photos. WIP invoicing that reflects what has actually been done. ESS rebate paperwork bundled automatically. Stock on van pulled into a daily summary. AI for drafting customer emails and reading supplier invoices where it earns its keep.

Not on this list? Most jobs aren't. Tell me the bottleneck on the call. If it is buildable, I will quote it.

03 / HOW I PRICE

Project fee: fixed and transparent. Quoted off the discovery call. Typical builds land between a few thousand and the mid-five figures depending on scope.

Rescope clause: if reality shifts during the build we pause, explain what changed, and re-scope in writing. No silent overruns.

Retainer: optional, starts at $500/month. Covers hosting, monitoring, bug fixes, and small tweaks. Cancel anytime. AI and automation API costs are passed through at cost with no markup.

IP: you own the code on full payment.

04 / FAQ

Common questions.

Do you know my state's electrical compliance forms?

Each Australian state's electrical regulator has its own Certificate of Compliance / Certificate of Electrical Safety form (QLD ESO, NSW Fair Trading, VIC ESV CoES, SA, WA, and so on). I learn the forms for your state during scoping. The shape of the build is the same; the field mapping is what changes.

I already use Tradify / ServiceM8 / simPRO. Why would I need anything custom?

Tradify, ServiceM8 and simPRO are excellent for what they cover. The custom layer is for the bits they do not: state-specific compliance paperwork, your specific quoting flow, automations that connect them to Xero and the regulator, AI features for paperwork they do not natively handle. I extend the SaaS you already pay for. I do not replace it.

Have you built for electricians specifically?

For electricians specifically, this would be the first. My proof of work is a ground-up rewrite of an industrial calibration application (the B24 case study). Different industry, same shape of problem: repetitive software a team has to use every day, rebuilt around the pain points.

How long does a typical build take?

Depends on scope. A focused tool (for example a CoC auto-filler tied to your job data) lands in roughly 3 to 6 weeks. A larger build (a quoting tool with Tradify and Xero integration) is more like 8 to 14 weeks. Quoted off the discovery call.

How does the pricing work?

Fixed project fee, transparent scope, quoted off the discovery call. If reality shifts during the build we pause, explain what changed, and re-scope with you in writing. Optional $500/month retainer covers hosting, monitoring, bug fixes and small tweaks. AI and automation API costs are passed through at cost.

Do you work outside Australia?

Yes. The compliance examples on this page assume Australian regulatory regimes; for NZ, UK, US or elsewhere I would build the equivalent against your local rules. Most engagements happen over short calls and Loom videos regardless of location.

05 / START

Got a process you would automate if the tool existed?

30 minutes. No agenda doc. Tell me the job and roughly what shape the bottleneck takes. If there is something to build, you will know by the end of the call.
