A rebuild of the B24 calibration software, so the techs couldactually use it.

The Mantracourt B24 calibration app was buggy. It hung, it crashed mid-run, the UI gave you no clue what to do next, and a mistake meant starting over. This is the ground-up rewrite that fixed those things.

02 / THE PROBLEM

The problem

The B24 calibration software was the only way to set up the sensors. It also hung and crashed mid-calibration. There was no documentation. The UI didn't make it clear what to do next or what state you were in. New techs needed someone standing next to them to use it at all.

The worst part was the restart pattern. If you fluffed a step, the only way out was to start the whole cycle over. A calibration that should have taken 30 minutes routinely ran two to three hours when something went sideways. The bench was unpredictable, and the techs hated it.

03 / THE BUILD

The build

A ground-up rewrite of the calibration application. Same job, completely different app. The brief was simple: a tech walking up to the bench should be able to run the calibration without anyone next to them, without a manual, and without the app eating their afternoon when something went wrong.

The first move was deletion. Every feature that wasn't part of the actual calibration flow got cut. What was left got rebuilt around the steps the tech runs, in the order they run them, with plain-language prompts at each point.

Then the failure modes. The original would hang and crash; the rebuild doesn't. The original made a mistake at step five force a restart from step one; the rebuild lets you back up, retry, or jump to the failed step without losing the rest of the session. The bench got predictable again.
