A concept build, not a delivered client project. Shows the shape a custom quoting tool takes when it's built around a residential electrician's real workflow: standard inclusions, your trade rates, photos from site, and a PDF in the customer's inbox before you leave the driveway.

The problem
Most residential sparkies I have spoken to quote out of a mix of Word templates, a spreadsheet of recent jobs, and memory. Switchboard upgrades, EV chargers, solar interconnections, lights and points all need different inputs. The quote takes 40 minutes minimum and most of that is hunting for prices and typing the same standard inclusions for the hundredth time.
Tradify and ServiceM8 cover the job-management side well. The actual quote-building flow tends to sit outside them: Word docs, manual rate lookups, a phone call back to the office to check the rate on a new inverter brand.
What the build would look like
A web app that knows your real pricelist, your standard inclusions per job type, and your trade rates. You pick the job type (switchboard upgrade, EV charger, solar interconnect, custom), enter the address, pick the photos, and the tool composes the quote with your standard wording and prices.
Outputs the formatted PDF, pushes the line items into Tradify or ServiceM8 as a draft, and sends to the customer with a CTA to accept. Accepted quotes flag in Tradify as ready for scheduling.
This is a concept demo. Real builds always end up specific to the business: every sparky has a different pricelist, different standard inclusions, different ways of describing the work. The skeleton is the same. The detail is yours.
